Mogadishu – Mohsin Samir, one of the Somali philanthropists living in London, organized a special lunch and charitable event for orphaned children, dedicating the rewards and blessings of this act of kindness to his late friend, Nasir Al-Murshidi.
The lunch prepared for the children was carefully organized and consisted of rice, fish, fresh green vegetables, fried potatoes and onions, along with a variety of soft drinks. The children enjoyed the meal in an atmosphere filled with care, compassion, and generosity.
Throughout the event, the importance of supporting and bringing happiness to orphaned children was clearly highlighted. These children greatly benefit from the love, encouragement, and assistance provided by members of the community.
Later in the afternoon, the children were also treated to a selection of sweets and snacks, including biscuits, halwa, sesame sweets, and cake, which further added to the joy and excitement visible on their faces.
The orphaned children expressed great happiness and appreciation for the meal and gifts they received. They also offered prayers for Mohsin Samir, asking God to reward him abundantly for organizing the charitable event, and prayed for mercy and eternal peace for the late Nasir Al-Murshidi, in whose memory the initiative was dedicated.
This charitable program serves as an example of the important role played by Somalis living abroad in supporting vulnerable members of society, particularly orphaned children. Through such efforts, they continue to promote compassion, solidarity, and community welfare.
